Nestled on 180 acres of virgin rainforest within the low lands of Costa Rica is the stunning La Foresta Nature Resort, a boutique adventure resort offering 14 junior suites, 7 bungalows and 3 villas. Steps from the tranquil, relaxing environment that exists at La Foresta is an untouched jungle within the shadows of the famed Manuel Antonio National Park. Beautifully designed nature trails surround the resort; providing guests an intimate experience for observing over 50 species of mammals, 15 species of reptiles, and an exquisite butterfly garden. The resort also has the most exceptional bird watching spot in the area and is within 15 minutes from the Manuel Antonio beach.

Most noteworthy and easy to observe during your stay are the troops of squirrel-like, or Titi monkeys, a sub-species found only in this part of the world and in great danger of extinction. La Foresta Nature Resort has partnered with the Titi Conservation Alliance and is committed to educating staff members, while participating in reforestation projects designed to help the species thrive.

An outstanding feature of La Foresta Nature Resort is the exhilarating Titi Canopy Tour, a “zip line” offering 13 cables, 18 platforms, rappelling platform, suspension bridge and tarzan swing guided by experts trained to escort you through virgin and reclaimed rainforest. Two of our longest cables stretch 380 and 450 meters, offering a glimpse of the striking flora and fauna that exist in our own backyard.

Nature Reserve

La Foresta Nature Resort is a unique Resort Hotel nestled on 180 acres of virgin rainforest in the low lands of the Central Pacific, the richest zone in diversity of species in the world. Just a few steps from the untouched jungle and in the shadow of the famous Manuel Antonio National Park, the Resort Hotel is the best bird watching spot in the area.

The Resort Hotel has its own nature trails, where it is possible to observe at least 50 species of mammals, 15 species of reptiles and a butterfly garden. Noteworthy and easy to observe are the troops of Titi (squirrel) Monkeys, a sub species found only in this part of the world and in great danger of extinction. Through our partnership with the Titi Conservation Alliance, we provide education programs for our staff and participate in reforestation projects designed to help the species thrive.

Many people believe the nature trails of La Foresta rival those found in Manuel Antonio National Park.


LOS SENDEROS

La Foresta Nature Resort offers an exceptional restaurant and lounge at Los Senderos; offering a wide array of cuisine and cocktails. Naturally, we offer foods that are specific to the region, and incorporate many spices that are grown on our grounds or from neighboring farms.

Situated at the edge of the rainforest, Los Senderos Restaurant was designed so that guests can view wildlife while dining from the new observation deck. From the deck, it is possible to observe many species of birds, monkeys and reptiles, including a caiman that inhabits the nearby creek.

The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, and offers a great selection of hot and cold appetizers, perfect after a day exploring the wonders of Costa Rica. The bar features two large LCD televisions and a daily happy hour from 3pm-6pm.
